| I have a problem with a HARO WC without the SoftClose function
| My HARO WC seat shows discolouration. |
HARO toilet seats are made of high-quality, solid-coloured Duroplast. The closed non-porous surface offers the best requirements for optimal hygiene. To some extent, WC seats in spot colours also have coated surfaces which are slightly more delicate. For easy and efficient cleaning, we recommend you use neutral soap or mild washing-up liquid which you have at home. Simply remove the residues of the cleaning products with enough clear water. Leave the seat and lid open while there are strong cleaning products in the WC bowl. If you use abrasive, chlorine-based or acidic cleaning products or if you spatter urine-based water, the surface can suffer discolouration or paint delamination, which can no longer be removed and are no cause for complaint.

| The fixation hinges are rusty. |
The hinges of our HARO WC seats are made of high-quality rust-free stainless steel. Urine or the use of abrasive, chlorine-based or acidic cleaning products will attack the material surface so that the hinges may be coated with oxide. However, this is no cause for complaint as it's flash rust which can be removed by grinding and polishing, and these damages can only be caused by long-term use of acidic or alkaline cleaning products. Drops of urine or chemical cleaning products must therefore be wiped frequently with a damp cloth before the fluids dry in order to avoid the damages described previously.
| The WC seat is loose or slips on the ceramic. |
Toilet seats are very often heavily loaded on one or both sides. The hinges on the partly uneven ceramic surface are extremely exposed because of the constant movements and pressure. According to the use you may have, the bolt joints can also get loose. We therefore recommend regularly checking the fixations and retightening them if necessary.
| The lid and/or the seat ring are broken or contain cracks. |
To the best of our knowledge, Hamberger's WC seats are adjusted so that they can bear heavy loads for an identified use. Should breaks or cracks appear in the material during the two-year guarantee period despite proper use and loads, please turn to your specialist shop with your receipt.
| Although I have a HARO WC seat with TakeOff or QuickSet, I can't remove the WC seat. |
TakeOff With an Allen wrench (included in hinges original package), start by loosening the headless screw which is situated on your stainless steel SoftClose cushionning unit and is used as a theft-deterrent system. (CAUTION! Do not unscrew the headless screw completely) Pull the entire toilet seat straight upwards. QuickSet Pull both locking clips towards the outside (see figure) while lifting the WC seat.
