A wooden seat is made of a natural product which reacts naturally to external forces, e.g. direct sunlight, temperature and humidity variations. Our aim is to meet the best appearance and quality standards possible. So, each seat is checked individually by a very experienced employee during the assembling process for the distribution of wood grain, growth rings and pattern type (active, calm). This ensures that only impeccable and smooth-looking products leave our factory.
Despite our excellent technique and our long lasting tradition in the wood processing industry, we have to make certain compromises with the natural product.
In order to maintain the desired feeling of warmth and comfort for solid wood seats without destroying the natural features of wood, our seats are not chemically treated.
Due to this process, the durability of our wooden seats against external forces isn't as high as with a Duroplast model. But, as a customer, you have a unique individual natural product.
So make sure you take good care of your HARO WC seat made of wood. If you use abrasive, chlorine-based or acidic cleaning products or if you spatter urine-based water, the surface may suffer changes which can't be repaired and don't represent a cause for complaint.
For easy and efficient cleaning, we recommend you use neutral soap or mild washing-up liquid which you have at home. Simply remove the residues of the cleaning products with enough clear water and thoroughly dry the lid and the seat. Leave the seat and lid open while there are strong cleaning products in the WC bowl.
